Are you a dedicated and certified Special Education Teacher looking for a rewarding remote opportunity? We are seeking passionate educators to provide high-quality virtual instruction and support for students in grades K-8. This independent contractor role is available for an immediate start and will continue through the end of the school year, potentially extending into early June depending on snow days.

Position Overview

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: End of May/Early June (dependent on snow days)

Location: Remote (servicing students in Kentucky)

Certification Requirement: Must hold a valid Special Education certification in Kentucky

Caseload: 15 students

Grade Levels: Kindergarten through 8th grade

Schedule: Shared between two locations, co-teaching at a middle school and an elementary school

Open Positions: 2 available

Responsibilities

Deliver individualized special education services aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Co-teach alongside onsite educators at both the middle and elementary school levels, providing direct support and accommodations.

Adapt and modify lesson plans and materials to meet the unique learning needs of students with diverse disabilities and challenges.

Monitor and assess student progress toward IEP goals, maintaining accurate documentation and providing necessary updates.

Collaborate closely with general education teachers and school staff to promote inclusive learning environments and ensure student success.

Develop and implement accommodations and modifications based on student IEPs to support accessibility and learning outcomes.

Provide direct instruction through small-group and one-on-one teaching sessions, utilizing various strategies to enhance engagement and comprehension.

Participate in virtual meetings, professional development opportunities, and IEP meetings as required.

Maintain open and ongoing communication with parents and guardians, offering progress updates and addressing any concerns or questions.
