Job Summary:
The S3D Administrator is tasked with responsibilities at the project level and will collaborate closely with the Project Information Manager, Project Data Integrator, and Discipline Application Specialists to create and support an S3D environment that aligns with project requirements and supports execution. The S3D Project Administrator must possess a general working knowledge of all S3D tasks and an understanding of functional and discipline work practices and processes within the S3D environment.
Job Duties:
• Manage access and permission to the S3D environment.
• Setup S3D hierarchies.
• Perform regular setup of S3D name generator, backups, interference detection, batch processing.
• Setup generation of Smart Review files for internal and client model reviews.
• Create and modify filters and surface styles to support project execution.
• Configure name rules as necessary.
• Provide overall S3D direction and coordination to the project task force.
• Focal point of contact for S3D issues and concerns.
• Monitor scheduled processes for backup/interference/workshare replication etc.
• Execute full and partial restore of plant and catalog as necessary.
• Perform regular database maintenance and integrity check tasks.
• Manage references files, 3d model reference files, laser scan and other attachments to the S3D project environment.
• Support execution of mass model copy or move as necessary.
• Perform close-out related tasks for the S3D project environment.
Job Requirements:
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed.
• Working Knowledge and experience with S3D application as S3D Administrator on S3D setup and administrative tasks.
• Database knowledge on SQL Server implementation of S3D.
• Basic knowledge of Smart Interop Publisher
• Basic knowledge of SmartReview
• Basic knowledge of report customization
• Good leadership and collaboration skills
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
