Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Power Generation Manager to oversee and optimize our power generation operations, ensuring the highest level of reliability, efficiency, and service for our customers. This role requires a strategic leader with technical expertise in generator systems, a strong understanding of emergency power solutions, and the ability to manage service teams across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
• Operations & Strategy: Lead and develop power generation services, overseeing installation, maintenance, and emergency response operations.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor generator technicians, ensuring top-level expertise in generators, transfer switches, paralleling systems, and power management.
• Project Management: Oversee generator installations, upgrades, and custom power solutions for clients, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Customer Service & Support: Maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring prompt response to service requests and system failures.
• Technical Expertise: Stay up to date with the latest in power generation technology, including diesel and propane generators, switchgear, and renewable energy integration.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations adhere to industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
• Inventory & Equipment Management: Oversee fleet of backup generators, parts inventory, and equipment to maintain readiness for emergencies.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in power generation, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of generator systems, transfer switches, paralleling, and emergency power solutions.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with customers, vendors, and team members.
• Familiarity with industry regulations, including NFPA 110, NEC, and OSHA standards.
• Preferred certifications: EGSA (Electrical Generating Systems Association), Cummins Power Generation Training, or equivalent.
