Description Part-Time On-Campus Adjunct Instructor for Group Piano Courses (MUS105) for Fall 2025 Carroll University is seeking an experienced instructor for group piano classes for music majors, with a focus on basic keyboard proficiency and development of practical functional piano skills, including keyboard harmonization, reading lead sheets, and improvising stylistic accompaniments.
MUS105A: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 12:00 - 12:50 p.m.
MUS105B: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 1:00 - 1:50 p.m.
Education and/or Experience - Master's degree in Music required.
- Experience with piano pedagogy, preferably in a group context.
- Experience with popular music styles (jazz, rock, pop, etc.) preferred.
Technology Skills - Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and online classroom management systems (Canvas).
- PC Proficient.
Human Relations Skills - Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adjust to changing work environment and to respond to changing institutional needs.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administrators throughout the University.
- Candidates must be willing and able to support and advance the University mission.

- May be withdrawn in the event that scheduling requires staffing courses with a full-time member of the faculty.

- Is limited to teaching applied music lessons or traditional classroom courses, and does not entitle you to consideration for tenure or assignment to any faculty committee or research activity associated with a full-time faculty appointment.
